Two generations of machine work
Arlington Automotive Machine Shop has been operating since 1972, when it was originally founded by Ed Adams. His son, Eddy Adams, joined him in 1978, making it a father and son business.
Built on doing it right
The company has continued to provide fair, experienced and excellent service to its customers in the great city of Arlington, Texas for over 50 years.
That means the person who answers the phone is the same person who will measure your parts. We will tell you what your block, crank or heads actually need — and just as importantly, what they do not. Street rebuild or race program, the work gets held to the same standard.
1972
Ed Adams opens the doors
Arlington Automotive Machine Shop begins operating, building a reputation one engine at a time.
1978
A father and son business
Ed's son, Eddy Adams, joins him in the shop. The two of them set the standard the shop still works to today.
2026
The Fullers take over
Father and son partners Randy and Ty Fuller of Fuller Motor Sports acquire the shop in August, carrying a father-and-son business into its next chapter.

Under new ownership

Father and son partners Randy and Ty Fuller of Fuller Motor Sports acquired Arlington Automotive Machine Shop in August 2026.
54 years after Ed Adams opened the doors — and 48 after his son Eddy joined him at the bench — the shop passes to another father-and-son team.

The shop
Real machines, real machinists
Torque-plate honing, align honing, crank grinding, balancing and multi-angle valve jobs all happen under one roof at 511 E. Main Street — so your parts are not shipped around town between three different shops. That is our own shop in the photo, not stock.
Stop by Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm.
